Dinesh and Shashikala Jansari, an elderly couple, were scammed out of £2500 after purchasing fake flight tickets. After intervention by the Financial Ombudsman Service and an appeal, Santander refunded the money. The couple had intended to use the tickets for travel between Leicester and India via Heathrow Airport.
