An exhibition in Melbourne is putting Asian cultural clothing in the spotlight, challenging the tendency to hide traditional garments. The exhibition focuses on the reinvention of South Asian clothing, such as the sari, and celebrates the rich cultural heritage they represent. Priya Khanchandani, head curator at the Design Museum, initially proposed the exhibition in 2020, with the exhibition scheduled to run until August 2026.
