Virginia Approves Bill Joining National Popular Vote Interstate Compact
Virginia has enacted legislation to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement among states to award their electoral votes to the presidential candidate who wins the national popular vote. This brings the compact closer to having enough states to take effect.
